Ebtekar Competition 2020, organized by the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) at the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), is a national competition for university students’ graduation projects.
The total prize pool for the competition amounted to 180,000 EGP, allocated to 15 projects from 11 universities/institutes, selected from a total of 125 submitted projects in the 2020 cycle.
The team from the Higher Institute of Computers won first place in the VR/AR track, outperforming competing teams from the Faculties of Computers at Ain Shams University and Cairo University, with a prize value of 20,000 EGP.
The winners also received priority access to free training and the opportunity to join the center’s business accelerators, located in five different governorates: Giza, Alexandria, Assiut, Mansoura, and Minya, for a duration of three months.
This achievement was made in the 8th cycle of the Ebtekar Competition (2020), under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Mohamed Tawfik El-Menshawy, with the project implemented by the students: Amr Yousry – Abdel Salam – Nader Mostafa.
